  • Elective Surgery

    Planned procedures performed following detailed pre-operative assessment and consultation such post trauma defects, post-cancer excisions.

  • Minor Operations

    Quick, low-risk procedures performed under local anaesthesia, often on an outpatient basis (excision of lipomas, cysts, skin grafting).

  • Outpatient Clinics

    Held every Thursday at 12:00 hrs, providing consultations and follow-up care.

  • Ambulatory Care

    Same-day surgical procedures that allow safe, comfortable recovery at home.

Dr. Shilindra Rajkumar
Head of Section

Dr. Shilindra Rajkumar is a Consultant Surgeon and Head of Section for General Surgery at GPHC, where he leads the delivery, development, and oversight of surgical services. Trained in general surgery with additional experience in plastic surgery, he promotes a patient-centred and multidisciplinary approach to care. Alongside his clinical responsibilities, he is strongly committed to medical education, actively teaching and mentoring medical students, interns, and surgical residents. His educational focus emphasises sound clinical judgment, technical excellence, professional ethics, and lifelong learning. Dr. Rajkumar also has a keen interest in advancing surgical care through research and evidence-based medicine, advocating for the integration of best available evidence into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes and strengthen surgical systems.
