The Medical Laboratory is the principal diagnostic laboratory at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation. It has been serving the people of Guyana for over five decades and plans to expand its’ scope to offer autoimmune testing in 2026. It operates in compliance with GYS 170, GYS 235, ISO 15189 and ISO 15190 standards, ensuring internationally recognised quality and competence. It is also fully licensed under the Health Facilities Licensing Regulations (2008) and has been certified by the Guyana National Bureau of Standard (GNBS) for the past 22 years.

As Head of Laboratory Services at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and an ISO technical auditor, she has led major quality improvements, developed robust laboratory systems, and advanced clinical training. She is also a dedicated researcher and long-standing lecturer in medical technology.
