Programme Highlights
Patients Treated:
- Total: 9 patients
- Breast/Chest Wall Reconstruction: 8 breast cancer survivors (varied cancer types; some with prior radiation and/or chemotherapy)
- Facial Reconstruction: 1 patient injured in a boating incident approximately two months ago.
Surgical Breakdown:
- Microsurgical Cases: 3
- Macrosurgical Cases: 6
Breast Reconstruction Surgeries
Procedures included:
- 1 TRAM Flap
- 1 VRAM Flap
- 2 DIEP Flaps
- 4 Extended Latissimus Dorsi (LD) Flaps
Facial Reconstruction Surgery
- Patient: Female boating incident survivor
- Procedure: Anterolateral Thigh (ALT) Flap + Bone Graft
- Complication: Thrombosed vein, requiring revisitation of surgery. Flap is now viable.
Post-Operative Outcomes
- 4 patients discharged
- 5 patients remain under inpatient monitoring
